Semantion offers a common framework which includes the Semantion Business Platfom (SBP) and methodology. With Semantion, common framework customers can model and manage information and processes by using SBP components/tools and following the Semantion methodology.

Tara Ontology Language created by Semantion in 2008 is a result of the evolution of the Semantion information and process management solution since 2000. Tara is a simple and powerful ontology language for modeling information and processes.

The information management components of the SBP enable description, registration, and full life cycle management of all information entities, their attributes, associations, and the rules governing their use.

Tara Application Builder (TAB) generates web applications directly from Tara ontologies created in Tara Ontology Language via Semantion Metamodeler (SM2). These applications provide management of enterprise information based on the same Tara ontologies they were generated from.

The Semantion framework enables any type of business process to be described and completely supported in a matter of days. In fact, the description of the process can be pursued in parallel by many participants, adding to each other's work and reusing each other's concepts.

Because users and operators usually collaborate on how to improve processes, they rely on extensive assessments of business process performance. SBP supports complete insight into the history of any transaction within any process.

With the SBP doing all heavy lifting behind the scenes, users and operators can spend most of their time on value added work such as description, alignment and agreement on terminology and collaboration on how to run the process, and how to govern information.
